I have an Asian-Upside down catfish that is kept in a 20 gal tank. It is about 5 inches long. I was wondering if this tank would be big enough for it. I have read they can get to a foot long so I fear this wouldn't be enough. I was given this fish as well as a syno but it turned out this one isn't a syno... Anyway, I don't know anyone who knows much about this fish so anything would be a great help. I've learned the hard way that they eat other fish so putting it in my 55 gallon would be a no no. It eats shrimp, both dried and live, and hides under wood till night. Also, what kind of set up does it prefer? Cooler water or warmer? What type of decorations should the tank have? Does it prefer planted or a sparsely planted tank with wood to hide under?

You will definately need a larger tank i'm afraid, a 55g would be the absolute minimum for an adult.

I suppose I will give it up then.... I'm not allowed more tanks and I don't want to have it suffer in a 20 gallon :\ Thank you for the response.
