So...I had moved the chestnut to the 20 gallon with the gourami. So...nipped antennas and it keeps them curled in the rest of the way. But....at the moment, the gourami seems to be leaving it alone now.

So...my debate now...the golden one is in a 10 gallon. Doesn't seem the hehe be doing so well though it has been moving around a bit more. I did notice my air pump went out, well, quit pushing air out anyway. so at least I had another on hand and got it replaced.

Anyway, they both did amazing in the 20 with the live plants. Now, I separated them because the chestnut wouldn't leave the golden alone.

I was going to make a divider for the ten and put the chestnut back in there. But since the golden isn't doing so well, I thought maybe just putting it back in the 20, with the gourami and chestnut as well, and see how it goes(and hope the gourami doesn't mess with the golden).

What do you guys think of this idea? Do I divide the 10 for both snails, or stick the golden on the 20? Or any thing else I could do?

Thanks!

Just put them in the same tank no need for dividers, They may be male and female and are trying to mate.

I kind of figured this but the reason I separated them was because the gold one wasn't wanting to come out of its shell. Not even really to eat. It still seems a bit beat up by it all and it's been a couple of weeks.

Though I am willing to try in the 20 with all the live plants since I know it liked it in there before. There are only a couple of anubias in the ten along with plastic plants and some Malaysian driftwood.

So do you think I should try putting it in the 20 with the other snail and gourami and see what happens?

Another thing to add...since the gourami calmed down about really picking on the chestnut snail...he actually isn't glass surfing like he was before. He seems calmer so maybe he likes having a snail friend. Keeps him a bit occupied in having something to watch. Lol.

Yes I cant see why not.

Thanks Nick. I did go ahead and put it in there. Took a while to start moving around but it eventually did. I haven't seen the gourami messing with it but doesn't mean it hasn't or won't happen. I'll just see how it goes. Hopefully it will perk back up and both snails can get along.
