lol when i got my first tank about two years ago it was second hand the previous owner said nothing was in it and when i cleaned it out in the filter i found a neon lol and under the gravel i found a yellow and black worm thing and later discovered it was a coolie loach lol. they both survived and are in my dads tank now lol
It usually swims all over the tank alongside the tetras, he is half their size. It has a roundish bottom, and today I noticed he has an iradescent stripe above the black one. BTW my tank was brand new when I got it. There is no possible way my tetras had it right. (I mean could they have laid eggs, and this mutation popped out? I know stupid question, just tryin to figure out where the little thing came from and what to do for it to keep it healthy
Although they're fairly rare, could it be the African One-line tetra (Nannaethiops unitaeniatus)? They are mostly clear with a black line and have a very streamlined torpedo like body. Maybe he could have come in with an order of live plants (If you have any).
