this looks a little like the fish game but w/ slightly less clues, lol So is it tall and thin? or is it more of a narrow shape? Just keep given us clues and looking at various profiles and eventually somebody will get a match.
Try going back to pet smart and see if they still sell that fish, ask for the manager and ask him because they charged you for the fish so there is a bar code for inventory so there will be a name also that coincides with it. bring your recipt also you should still have it for the 15 day warranty
I can't remember the exact price, it was definitely less than $10. Probably somewhere around $5, actually. It's not narrow at all. Definitely tall and thin. (Is it just me, or do I sound like Rainman?)
If I could think of any more clues, this post would be full of them.
I'm going back to Petsmart tomorrow to see if they still have the fish. I'd like to get a partner for him, anyways. Hey, maybe I've discovered a new species.
Thanks for all the help,
Valerie
P.S.
Whoever discovers the identity gets a cookie.
now i have the answer for all people with a fish that needs to be identified. all you have to do is draw it in the paint package that you have on your computer save the image as a jpg file and then you can post that it makes it allot easyer if there is a general shape. also its good to add a behaviour like it likes to kiss the glass... or it likes to swim near the surface of the water skimming it for food or ... like most fish it just swims around in a vaige circle looking confused and lost.
Right i think i have it,v shaped tail, black line 1/4 the length of the body from the tail and silvery in colour= Swallow/appollo shark,Luciosoma spilopleura.
Ive posted a pic in members pictures for you to see one to confirm if im right.
Ok not a swallow shark,no picture this time so youll have to find something on the web or in a book (i would do it but im useless with computers),could it be one of the Hemiodopis species?A few of these fish fit that description.
