I also can't really tell if the eye is completely gone, this is the first time that the fish has lived an attack like that in my expierience.

We have a Fahaka puffer, Gomez and we have found that he has only taken to one person, me.
I feed him and Karl cleans him out which means that if Karl goes to see him, or feed him, Gomez quite literally sulks!!

We are lucky to live near a fishing port so we get Whelk which he adores, cockle mussel and prawn in the shell etc. and a huge Tesco bag full of crab claws for £2!!

I am worried to her that any Fahak is kept with anything in their tank but Lady and Sir Minion, being the king (and queen) of puffer keeping are finding that it works. I will be intrigued to know if it keeps working as i know for a fact that Gomez would kill ANYTHING in his tank but they do say that puffers have very individual personalities.
Lots of people say i am wrong to keep my mbu with Gars and a catfish but he loves his tank mates.

Just to go off the subject here.
I was in Liverpool at the weekend looking round a garden centre which also sold a few rabbits and a few goldfish, along with a mbu!!
I think this is awful, mbu`s are very specialist, who would nip down to the garden centre for a goldfsih and, oh, by chance, happen to want a mbu too!!
These fish should only be sold in the bigger shops where people will travel especially to get them. GGrrrrrr, these places do make me angry!

Don't count the BGK out. Mine got the eye of a platy this morning. I've heard of them doing this to other fish if they are not fed enough, and that could very well have been the case for my BGK, I had reduced the food for a while.

I'm not saying that I think it was the BGK, but just that it is a possibility.

I am pretty sure it was the butterfly, this morning I saw him chasing the mollies.
