Looks ordinary size wise, dogs look extraordinary! POTM nomination from me! :good:

Long ago I had a Westie, before I got Kaz I had a Cairn. Terriers are the best!

Cheers, thought the pic was too big. The westie (Alfie) is 4 and the Cairn (Barclay) is 3. There my life  but hopefully my fish are gonna be up there with them! :good:

They look adorable and the photo is gorgeous - POTM seconded by me :good:

Bet Tolak would like those two beauties, he has an eye for Scottish dogs :look:

Thanks, they are adorable! The Cairn is very timid,he follows me everywhere but the Westie he`s very independant! He will only do what he wants when he wants!

I had a Yorkie that might be described as cautious more than timid, he would let my Westie take the lead in situations that were out of the ordinary. If he didn't like a situation he would just walk the other way. The most independent thinker had to be my Cairn, to the point of being bullheaded. I think all terriers have a bit of that independent thinker thing going, due to the nature of the breed. If you can get them to think what you want them to do is their idea they listen pretty well.

Yes had the westie to the obedience classes and he was a nightmare! Everyone thought he was hilarious except me who had to keep running after him! After 3 weeks even my son refused to go with me out of embarrassment! If i send him to his bed he will go BUT only after walking all the way around the room first as if to say `i will go but in my own time!`(then he promptly gets back out again!)
The cairn on the other hand is completely different, he wants to be on your knee all the time, he will sit next to the bed in the middle of the night(just on the off chance you`ll wake up and let him in) and when you speak to him he puts his ears back and shakes with excitement as if to say `ohh shes noticed me!` Needless to say hes my baby!
