My Turtles

This is my yellow Bellied slider.
Her name is slider. PLease excuse the lack of imagination...

She is 14 months old and 5" in shell length. In the summer months she lives in A 10ft pond full of aquatic vegetation and basking areas.
When she was given to me in October 2006, she was only 1" in shell length and was very neglected...

this is her at 9 months...





these are the new additions...
Arvin And Marge...
hey, at least there is a little creativity in the names...

Arvin and Marge are 6 month old P.Cooters, measuring only 1" shell length...
These two will hopefully be used for breeding in the next few years after sexually maturity has been reached...

Did you get them from a petstore? They are cute! I had a redeared slider when I was younger, she was 10 years old

the little ones were from a pet store, Slider was not...
Slider was from a family owned pet store who could not look after him adequatly...
He had slight fungus on his shell and his eyes were quite clouded..

I think my mum wants to get rid of my turtles due to lack of room!

They are beautiful btw! Oh and you say slider had clouded eyes? Well this happens when they are shredding their shell because one of mine had it and i took him to the vets!

NO no... its not usually common for any slider or other turtles for eyes to cloud during shedding...
it was a serious infection which we thought would have fatal results, however, she was treated and is now very well..
What turtle do you have? and where are you located?
