This is my fish tank everything in place(I think) but the fish. If the volume calculator is right it holds 125 UK gallons. Im planning on getting an external filter soon so dont worry about the filter in the tank. Also should the heater that you see next to the filter should that be inside it? Tank temp is 26 degrees'c.

Also the new bit of bogwood ive put in there is there anything I need to watch from that?

There is no live plants in it, is it a good idea to add them?

Also anyone have shrimps in there tank really think there cool and want to get some what are fish like with them?

Thanks for looking.

Is that a Juwel tank? If so, there is a space inside the filter box in the corner for the heater. It should be placed in there as the filter is setup to pump a small percentage of the water past the heater if its in the right place.

Where did you get the bogwood from? Any natural substance should really be boiled before placing in the tank to kill off any nasties.

Live plants are a personal choice and require certain tank parameters and setup, a little research on the forum should tell you what you would require to grow live plants.

As for shrimp.... :dunno:

The bogwood came from a local pet store dont think I got a pot big enough to boil it.

Live Plants are needed, but they do look better than plastic plants.

Shrimp are very cool. I am getting some for my betta tank soon. Most fish ignore them, but some fish like gouramis love to eat them.
