My Trebor

Getting rather disheartened now about keeping fish, i rarely nurse them back to health again once they've come down with something. I've spent so much time and money on meds and trying to make them happy and comfortable yet there's always something to worry about. Maybe i'm over reacting, just annoys me!! I want so much to be able to look after my fish when they get poorly!!! I've only had one success story out of about ten now! At the moment struggling with some kind of fungus which i have been treating for a bit now but it doesnt look like its getting any better!! It frustrates me, do you ever get like this??? xx

I know exactly how you feel. We lost a Magnum Pleco and a BN and were absolutely gutted. :-(

I do get like that. I had 2 Dwarf Gouramis that came down with an infection, tried treating them but they never made it. Also had a Betta who died from unknown reasons. I'd only had him for 2 weeks but he never made it, even after treatment.
On a brighter note, with good advice from members here, I have successfully treated a couple of fish. One was a bloated female Betta and another was a Threadfin Rainbow with popeye.
Try not to get too disheartened, you obviously care a lot about your fish and are doing your best for them.
Don't lose hope, it happens to us all. ;)

Thank you, you're very kind. I do care about them, perhaps a little too much. I have had a few successes, i should concentrate on them really rather than the losses. Thank you for being lovely!

No problem Mezrie.
It does get you down when you lose a fish as you feel you have done something wrong. Like you said, concentrate on your successes and you should feel a whole lot better.
Are you planning on getting another Pleco?

No i don't think so, i think the less fish i have in my tank the better now. Less is more maybe. I have a fungus thing going on at the moment aswel so even if i was getting something i wouldn't do it yet! But no i dont think i will, in the future i will though, just a long way down the line!

Do u have pics of your fish? I see your a plec lover:)
