Just wanted to share! :)

This is my 20g bolivian ram tank which also houses some danios. It's my first planted tank and my first go around with South Americans! So far I'm loving it. The plants grow by the hour I swear!

This has been set up since May 11th and the bolivians spawned on the 30th! I was so proud, they were excellent parents the first time around, guarding their wigglers and then fry from the eeeevil danios. lol.

A nice close up of the three in there. From left to right we have, Little Pea, Hue and lastly Lulu. Hue and Lulu are the couple, although I caught him flirting with Little Pea! Maybe he's just a ladies man. :hey:

My newest (and still not quite 'pretty') setup. A 10 gallon red claw crab tank!

I had to do up the tank a little quicker than I planned simply because I didn't know how long they'd stay at the LFS, I called around and no one else had them. I want to replace the substrate with sand and eventually that island I created will have some moss and plants. The ones in there now are fake. boo.

Here he (or she!) is hiding in the little cave I provided. The little guy is out now but seems very sensitive to me walking close to the tank so I can't get a better picture yet.

And finally, my last surviving bolivian fry. I'm not sure what happened to the others but I'm happy at least these seem to be active and growing.

And all of these tanks are in my bedroom.

The middle of the second pic is a german ram.

Loving the crab tank

thanks guys! And yes they are all bolivians hehe. Otherwise those little fry would be some strange kinda hybrid. :fun:

u r correct. top pic is indeed a blue ram and bottom pic a bolivian ram

Yup. The Rams in the picture look nothing like the GBR. They are without a doubt, Bolivian Rams...

Liking the tanks Mirriah :)

This has made me want to convert my tank into a Ram tank, awesome pics!

What does the water have to be like in a tank specifically for rams?

thank you Always Learning, an sorry for the late reply. I've been sick.

As for the tank water, I've read from a few sources that they do well in Ph 7.5 to 6.0, and temp from 74 - 78 F

My tank is Ph 7.4 and the temp is usually in the 77-79 range.

they're very fun fish to watch :D
