my tank

Hmm...

Sorry, got my info wrong there. They do not get that large, RTBS. About 12 cm, not sure how many inches. However they can be pretty aggressive, especially towards their own kind.

P.T.

ok then........i was gettin worried there, so shud i get rid of it still, i mean i read that if u keep 2 sharks, they will be more preditorial than if you had 3

first of all i dont think that P.T know much about the sharks, they dont grow big at all its only 12cm  and the recommended tank is about 200 litres, as for the silver shark that will grow upto 36 cm and the recommended tank size for a school is 500 litres! and for the red finned shark it is very similar to the RTBS and in time when they get bigger and older they will get more agressive and will eventually ummm... kill each other as they are both terrotorial and you have a small tank they will be both fighting for space. both the sharksare known to be intolerant towards others of the same family. so its best to get rid of any fish that have similiar body shape!

You're right there, i slipped up on the RTBS :p

But thats strange though. My uncle has the red finned ones, and has about 4 of them, they school together. Ah well, i dunno :dunno:

yeah i know i mean in my LFS they have loads in a well... rather small tank and theyir fins are literally shredded, but when i look in shops with big tanks and only a few sharks tehy look reasonably fine, i had a RTBS and a redfinned and the literally began to hunt eachother before i took the other one back.
