View attachment 64882Hi all,

I would just like some ideas on improving my tank when it comes down to looks.

I have a few fake plants and as you can tell from the picture a few real ones too.

I was thinking maybe a cave of some sort?

My fish:

2 clown loach
1 angel
1 black neon tetra
1 rainbow shark
1 red tailed shark
8 glowlight tetras
1 gold sucker fish
2 gold gouramis
2 red gouramis

Any help with re-arrangements/additions would be helpful.

Regards

I would be inclined to sort stocking first then you can adjust your tank for the fish needs.

You really need 4 clown loach together or more a 1 or 2 are susceptible to clown loach diseases and they die young.

Same with black neon tetra, as a min i would suggest 6

I would advise seeking care sheets for all fish and making sure their needs a meet for temp and ph etc :good:

Hey

Thanks for the reply

I do plan on getting another 1 or 2 clown loach, but atm my local fish shop has none available atm so im waiting on new stock.

And with regards to the neon i got the tank off my uncle and he was in it on his own, so i was a little bit hesitant whether to add more black neons with
him as i thought he might not mix very well from being on his own for so long.

And with regards to my PH/Temperature, my PH averages around 7.2 and my temp is around 77-79.

Any advice on arrangements?

Regards

I have a 180 litre tank.

And yes i am aware of how big they get, around 15-20cm in home aquriums.

My current clown loachs are around 10cm and 16cm.

So you will realise that they will need a tank somewhere around 5-6ft long then? They're a sociable species so a group of 6+ wuld be adviseable.

Also the Sharks you have shouldn't be kept together and the sucking loach will become very aggressive, especially with the clowns and sharks. They can also launch attacks on large, flat sided fish such as Angels so be aware.

As adults the two sharks will definitely start attacking each other. You really should have one or the other and they should be the only shark or their kind. +1 to those that spoke of clown loach shoals. They definitely need 6+

Well all the fish have been living together for just over 3 months and i have had no problems :S so maybe im lucky. The only problem i have is 1 of the gouramis bullies the other gouramis thats it.

Any advice on the look of the tank?

Regards
