my tank

i intend on doing that ;)...just gotta get myself some black gravel first....ditch the cheesy stuff :p will it affect my filter at all by changing the gravel?

I think that you won't be able to use an undergravel filter with sand.(Not sure) :/

Edit-=sorry you said black gravel. I don't know a lot about UGravelm filters, but I think that all your biological filtration i.e bacteria is in your gravel, so changing it would make a difference.

Yes, if you use an UG filter then the bacteria's in the gravel, so you mustn't change it all at once if you're leaving fish in there while you do it. Maybe change it bit by bit and divide it with a gravel tidy in the meantime so it doesn't get mixed up? - I suppose it wouldn't look brilliant while you were doing it but it wouldn't be for long.

I go to the Hollybush too, and I've also started to use Erdington Aquatics, just off Spaghetti Junction, which is v good.

cool thx for that guys...im gonna do it all in one go once i got the gravel and other things together...i got another tank setup already thats housing two of my pregnant chocolate mollies...i can put my other three mollies in there for abit while i redo this tank :D

NU UH! That gravel is awesome!!! Kind of "cool" like the accidental pink gravel in my 180..... :*)
