LiQuOrIcE's another sweet tank...

i just want mine to look as cool as everyone elses!

I too believe my tanks look like crapola. Especially my betta tanks. I feel your pain

IMO, it looks ok. it's better than any of mine.

First off, do you have the funds to buy better decorations?

Second, what type of fish do you plant to keep in there (I'm not sure if there are any in there now...)?

I think your tank is overly cluttered. All you have to do is take out some of the rockwork. Also, it's best to stick to 2 or 3 different types of plants and stick a bunch in. Rocks of similar size, shape, and color, also make the tanks more appealing.

 I agree about the gravel. I can't beleive I didn't see it!

Dark color gravel for dark colored fish, light for light. The darkj gravel makes dark fish show off their colors and markings better and makes bottom feeders feel more secure.

it looks fine, imo go for the natural look..like real plants and stuff (i dont have that) but i think mine's awsome..even after i seen the others :D wut do u think?

it' on my sig (it's just one of em)

I think 'natural-looking' gravel will do wonders.
Do you have more of those short bushy things that are in the middle front of your tank? You should get more of those and carpet the gravel with those. Maybe put the flowerpot behind that brown rock with a hole, make it like a sort of cave. Just some ideas.

This tank is my all mollie tank...i have to agree with you on the over crowded thing tho...it was my dads idea tho...i wanted to buy all new stuff aswell...cause ive only just got back into fish keeping after a long absense where i was unable to look after them...but my dad said not to as "older" stuff looks more authentic...and i was like...yeah authentic plastic plants...k...ii had live plants before but had all sort of trouble with them...and as for the gravel...i wanted to have all black gravel as i had intended on keeping silver and black mollies...but alas my dad once again said to use the older stuff.. :( not alot i can do about it now tho...untill i get my other tanks set up then maybe i can change it to how i want it...i also cosidered maybe trying out sand? is it ok to use sand on undergravel filters?

the short bushy thing is a plastic plant thats square that i got awhile ago...it said it was for fry to hide in...but they never seemed to :p...i can get more of them if the place i got them from still exists!

Hi DevilsAdvocate - you've been given some good ideas there and your tank looks good to start with! - don't forget it's how you like it that matters. I agree, some of the tanks you see on here take your breath away and give the rest of something to aim at!

By the way I'm from Wolverhampton too, nice to see another Wulfrunian on the forums. What lfs do you use?

i go to hollybush in cannock...ive also tried several places in and around the west mids...and this one is by far the cheapest and best well stocked one that i know of :)

I think the real plants you are getting from Eddie will work wonders. I'd ditch the plastic ones and plant the new plants with plenty of space as they will off shoot quickly.

:)
