Awww, thanks so much!
Because I'm on a
constant budget (really, who isn't these days! lol) and because I know some truely generous fish keepers, I've been able to get the bulk of my tank second hand (the decorations, stand, and tank). Because of that it's not so much "my" tank yet, lots of it not really matching, but I've added a lot myself - lots of plants and such.
You know, shelagh, I have tried live plants before, but I experimented a while back when I was keeping goldfish. I wasn't too thrilled with the results so in this tank I've gone to plastic - at least until I'm out of school and can really focus on the upkeep. I would love to do it, but if I'm going to do live plants I want to do it 100%.
I'm considering starting up my 5gal hex though, because I have done live plants in there with great success! I would love to get my hands on another pygmy gourami. That thing had so much attitude, and seemed to do really well in the 5gal. :sniff: I miss him!
And oh-my-goodness, simonas I cannot believe how gorgeous the harlequins are! I had a group of six for a little over a year and finally got around to expanding them. Every time I see them I start drooling - they are so gorgeous, iridescent, and happy now!
