Not getting corys I dont think, I have rams at the mo and cardinals and a plec so going to stick with them at the mo!!

Looks great. Could you add one of the pieces of background upside down so it looks a bit different? Just looks a bit obvious. The plants look fantastic.

That's a great idea!!! I wonder if it's too late now though.

I tried that before I put it in looked silly in all honesty... It's now stuck there forever lol

More plants tomorrow, oh and my fish are now in ;)

you have Juwel High Lite Day, T5 28 watts and a Juwel High Lite Nature, T5 28 watts.

You really really really should leave the plec out and the corys, best fish ever in the sand :good:

Thanks for the info ;)

I have been thinking of giving the plec a new home but I'm kinda attached to him now.

I currently have:
1 blue panaque plec
5 cardinal tetras - will be increasing numbers
6 german blue rams - 3 will be re honed when they grow up

I will second the cory recommendation... I'm not really a plec fan myself. They are far too messy and active enough for my taste.

I know what you mean about the plec but iv become attached lol.

Good news - water tests after 24hours of fish in the tank came back perfect big :)

Will be buying some more plants this weekend and maybe some more tetras!!

Your java fern will grow better on bogwood/slate/stone etc has opposed to planting it in the sand unless the rhizomes are above the substrate then the ferns should be fine :)

Looking good by the way :good:

The bright green plant that you have in the sand around your bogwood I think is Java fern. If it is, it won't grow like that, it'll just rot; it needs to be tied to a piece of wood or rock and not have the roots buried :)

Really, thanks for that I didn't know :p

Yea it's java fern, thanks I will get it tied to some wood/slate, does all the root need to be above the sand?

Bit small for 6 GBR? i keep mine in 350L and would not get any more?

Yes indeed, I did say earlier on I will be re homing 3/4. They are only juveniles at the mo, inch big if that.

ah sorry, guilty of not reading the whole thing :fun: 40 gallons for 4 should be fine if lots of caves and plants :good:

No worries, thanks I'm going to wait till they have grown a little then pick the pairs ;)
