Tank's a bit small for a Yellow Tang :/

Apart from that it look's fine, could do with more live rock but as you're a student I guess that's a bit of a sore point ;)

Looks good and clean, the fish look healthy, and I like the aquascaping. Well done

oh i know that i am but ive had him for few months now and hes perfect, hes never had ich, eats perfect as he love both red and green seaweed and tbh hes king of the tank lol he some times has ago at my clarkii :S but saying that hes not injured.

Just quick spec of my tank, yellow tang, half black dwarf, 2 green chomos, clean shrimp, cardinal i bloody h8 lol fish in drag! algae blennie thats fine also incase u wonder he eats of rocks well and i think he also easy seaweed and pleco wafers XD. then ive got a clarkii clown a sand sifter star and pink spotted goby.

What Size of tank is it

Looks to small for all that fish

I would recommend spending cash on more Live Rock rather than Corals etc. at the mo

8 Fish, one of which is a tang that gets up to 8", and a Starfish that can grow upto 10" in diameter as well is overstocked already IMO

How big is the Jewel tank you have?

Looks like a RIO 125 (33 Gal) - (Can tell by the cabinet doors)...

Probably shouldn't have more than 5 or 6 fish in there, especially with a small amount of LR (IMHO).

I would advise splashing (scuse the pun) out on some more LR and clean-up crew rather than fish. Probably not what you want to hear, but I think its best for the fishes sake.... :(

well i hate my cardinal so hes probs going back to LFS then might get rid of chromis as they are bit boring. but no affence i came on here just to show ppl and see there views but ur more like lecturing me :grr: the reason i dont have much LR is one i know im pushing it with the tang but thats why not much rock get it? my filtration is fine and ive know many ppl to have had tanks with just protien skimmer and external running a marin tank so its fine messy wise no nitrites and seems no bad water quality one bit for the whole 6 months its been running

Then why did you get them in the first place?

We are only sharing our views and opinions, surely that is why you posted your tank -_-

Sorry, I don't get it
Why would you decrease the amount of natural filtration (one that is far better than anything else you can buy) just to allow more swimming space for a fish that you admit is too big for the tank in the first place? Tang's produce a large bioload and therefore require lots of filtration, it will do it more good to have clean water than open water

No Nitrites is a must, what about Nitrates?

Oh well thanks for putting us right

We are concerned for the well-being of your fish. If there's a problem [or 5] were gonna tell you because they should be fixed to avoid further complications. Tangs like lots of room for swimming, and pretty much just arenm't happy in such a small place as 33 gallons.
