My Tank Pictures

wow! cool tank! :)

I would enter it in the TOTM;- http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/330278-tank-of-the-month-june-2010/

That Nile skull is the exact one i have. Mine is the large one. I might enter that, I just need to make some sort of note up to prove its mine! There is a lovely tank posted on there at the moment

I know im not supposed to post these here but I got a better following here than in the pictures forum.

But anyway, here is an update with my new background. Im not sure about it yet although im pretty sure it looks better, so your opinion will be much appreciated on this one. Also as you will see, got some new plants. I initially put them where they are just to get them out of the bag and in to the tank so they didnt dry up as I was in a huge rush to get out and down the pub for the football! But... I kinda like them where they are... no?

i think the plants need to be spaced about differently. currently they are blocking ur other hardscape from view such as the stones/skull

i reposted ur images for an easier side-by-side comparison

All sorted now, i moved them around and looks much much better. Although I am now going to have to get some plant food...

Ive posted this in the picture section aswell but just to keep anyone who is interested... Ill update here to.

Ok, so here is the last update ill do as you will all get bored! I spaced out all the plants, I haven't changed the way the sand sits as I didnt have time + i didnt want to disturb it too much with the fish in there.

As you can see, I went for the black background, I bought a piece of hardboard and a can on matt black spray paint and let loose! Came out very well and im very pleased with it. The mix of tannins from the bogwood, the green plants and now the black background give it a great mysterious look. Although the pictures make it look quite clear, in person its much better!

I almost threw one of the moss balls out but then decided to split one and cover a coconut shell in it which I think looks pretty good. I wrapped some fishing line around it to keep it on there. Will the moss ball attach itself to it?

The plant growing on the piece of bogwood is thriving and looks amazing! I might take some cuttings from it and see if i can grow it on the large piece of bogwood as the javamoss hasnt worked too well...

Last but not least, the crocodile head.. I dont particularly want it in there but the gf wont let me get rid of it and my red tail shark + polkadot loach have made it a home for themselves so I dont want to disturb them. When they get too big for it, then it'll go!

Enjoy!
