My Stats!

Hmm, when I tested on monday I forgot to clean the lil test tubes out, and only realised today.. i gave them a good shake in RO water.. would this have interfered with the results? Maybe i'll try the test in something else, I'm sure the kids have a chemistry set upstairs

Yeh it could very well affect the tests! Lol. Try again! Wash them thoroughly!

Hm, was worth a try :(

Very strange! Possibly even stranger, my fish all seem perfectly happy and healthy, I've not asked them if they feel ok.. but they're feeding normally, looking normal, and enjoying doing the things they usually enjoy doing!

I'd say in between 0 - 0.25ppm but still enough to harm your livestock.

How are they at the mo? Do they seem happy enough!

See how they are over night and then test again in the morn. If you still have a reading then best bet would be to remove ALL livestock from the tank and let the tank re cycle itself.

I still think you should get the lfs to test a sample also. Even if they use the same kit. Just to be sure.

See my last post with regards to my fish! yeah I'll see if I can pop to LFS with a sample on monday.. simple things like taht prove tricky in the summer hols with so many kids!! lol

Oh!........Might be a bad test kit? But just to be on the safe side test again in the morn and go from there with regards to removing the fish.

It's the same kit ive been using for the last few months, tho this time I did notice when I opened the 2nd bottle, there was white powder around the top.. I don't know whats happened there!

But yeah, I've saved my WC water just incase fishies need it!

Just noticed... that urchin thing that came along with my lst lot of LR hasn't moved since yesterday evening, he usually spends all night climbing around the glass. He's wedgec right at the back under a rock, in the exact same place he was last night just before the lights went off at 9pm... I cant reach him, how do I tell if he's dead without reaching him!?! That would cause ammonia, right?

Hmm, well here are this mornings results.. in test tubes that soaked in boiling water over night!

0, right!? Mr Urchin still doesn't appear to have moved tho :S

I think I'm gunna need to move the rocks for anyone to get to him, he's got himself tucked right in the very back corner under the whole pile of rocks, I cant even reach the bottom of the tank coz its too deep lol! I'll see if the kids' dad can reach him when he gets here later.. will he stink if he's dead?

Ps, I promise not to touch him myself! *puts halo on!*
