Very nice puffers, they're awesome . I read that once they get to a certain size, they need to be changed to brackish environment, like above 2 inches I think
Not these ones actually. I had to do a lot of research and make some phone calls to get full verification. These are not Green Spotted Puffers that are brackish. These are a freshwater puffer.
I think they are cool though and overall I'm happy. Just have to get the stand built for the 45 so I can get it all setup, planted, etc... and get them into there permanent home.
It had me confused for weeks because my LFS was saying they were freshwater, I thought they were Green Spotted, and everyone here was saying they were brackish.
Edit: I also saw Green Spotted Puffers at the other LFS in town and when you look at them there are some major differences when you can see them up close and personal. These ones are more of a flourescent greenish/yellow. A green spotted is very green in comparison.
