My sorority rebuild

As some of you know I lost my 2 foot tank and fish during the floods last month.

Well I have started to rebuild. As I still have most of the plants filter and spare lights.

I went to PetBarn and got a new tank $65 later.

Not a bad looking tank.

Paint the back Black. This is the first coat.

3 coats of mat black later.

Next the set up.

How did you get that kind of a deal? My one offers "a betta tank... about 9l for $65".

I asked How much was the tank only, she said $67, I got my credit card out fast.

Me too.

This is going to be the shortest cycle in history.

After the floods I pulled all the plants out and washed them, same for the substrate in de-chlorinated water then, I filled the bath tub full of water and put the substrate and plants in with a light and filter, now all I have to to is scrub the bath tub

Water has cleared up a bit.

Thank you its getting there.

Remember those are mature plants so it would be expensive.

But basically buy all the Anubias you can afford attach it to small bits of wood and dump in the tank, Then poke some Crypts in the back and where ever, and wait for it to grow in.
