Anyway

I was thinking what am I going to do with my 2 foot tank. While thinking about it I am still maintaining the tank, Today I did a water change and found this going on.

Sorry the video is not great, and the water is cloudy because I use Easy-Life Fluid Filter Media, It seems I have an awful lot of shrimp, So the decision has been made, the 2 footer is for Kuhli Loaches my 2 Mystery snails and the Cherry shrimp only.

Lol, that's a lot of shrimp right there :D

I love it when mine go nuts after a water change.  My Cherries and Amano's usually swim like crazy but the Bamboo's never seem to be bothered.

I guess thats what you call a thriving colony?

Oh yes I started with 10.

Wow , great tank. I used to Love my Cherry shrimps had a few breed but that is crazy. Surely you are going to get to a saturation point where you have too many, do you have plans to move some on when you get too many?

Yes, I catch them and feed them to my Tetras  Clown Loaches and Bettas.

I gave the little buggers a few more plants

I got some plants for my shrimp tank over the weekend.  Intend to get that up and running properly this coming weekend.

You going to post photos or just tease us LOL.

I find it relaxing watching the shrimp gliding along in the tank.

Just tease you lol. :p

No photos yet, I'm still scaping.  The anubias were covered in snails so they're in another tank so my assassins can have a feast first.

I'm using a flexi mini scape tank.  Approx 15 litres which comes with a superb light.  I'll be using a 50w internal Hydor heater and an external Eden 501 cannister.  I'll be hooking up a Dennerle CO system too.

For substrate I used a Dennerle volcanic soil to help the plants establish and covered that in Sulawesi black substrate which should help the CRS to really show up nicely.
