It does look like a port Jackson... hopefully it doesn't reach the 1.6m stated as its max size..

Thanks! It is a port jackson. I caught it fishing haha so i kept him. i was gonna eat him cos it is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo nice. but since its a young fella i decided i would set up a tank for him and get him hand feeding. He lets me pat him, great pet.
The tank is not impressive yet. Setting up still

That's a very nice shark you have, especially the deep black markings.

I am guessing you are going to release him back into the wild when he grows too big? Or have you got a very large tank?
