My Sexy Salvini

this is my salvini, great little fish but has got an attitude problem,,,a little thing like this even flares at me if i press my face to the glass
iam not sure but i would say female, looking at the belly, but iam not up on salvini's <that could be from the food i gave earlier

need to get more a broad side shot than whats avalible here, but from what I can see on the 3rd pic I would have to go with female. the easiest way to tell nelly is that a female the egg tube will look squarish where as with a male it will be pointed and actually point almost forward.

I'm going to say male salvini. My reasoning is that females often have a black blotch on the dorsal fin, from the photo's I can't really see one.

Like I said I think its male, the dorsal is the same as in Cubans and Red Terroer and many others, the Female will have the spot or a dark dorsal, its not 100% as there is not many things that are 100% but its sure as danm is close to it . lol...

I'm going with male also. Not only no blotch on the dorsal, but also no blotch down low on the gill. With both missing, I'd say the odds are pretty good that it's a male.
