Hi there

the tank looks great, very clean and stylish. I especially like the black gravel! makes the fish and the plants stand out more i think. I'm a big fan of Oscars but have not kept them before, how do they get on with the CL's?

Great looking tank thanks for sharing pictures of it :good:

Whats the plants in there ? they look amazing.

Regards onebto

Cracking tank. The ide aof a black and albino oscar together is so simple, yet not oftenly done and i love it! I've become a massive fan of Oscars in the last few months due to my own i bought. Personally i'd upgrade your filtration perhaps, certainly as all your fish grow IMO.

onebto, the plants are fake ones ;) You can get them from most LFS, especially ones that have reptile sections ;)

i think if you upgraded your filtration anymore your tank would look like a biotope of colorado rapids!

I find the fluval filters have sucky output, on a tank this size having atleast one FX5 along with a 405 would be more appropriate. Atleast you could remove the internal (which wouldnt be adding much anyway currently). Thats what i'd do anyway.

thank you very much for comments everyone. Yes the plants are fake, they come with a suction cup on back. Got them from lfs. They are made of silky material rather than plastic and look the best ive found. Loved having real plants but never had any joy with them and its much more maintainance. Oscsars get on great with clown loach, when i feed blodworm they all come up together and oscars show no aggression. With regards filtration I did try to fit an FX5 but the tubes are so wide I would have had to drain the tank and pull it forward and inch. At the moment the two 405's keep the water crystal clear. the internal filter is just used to move water around more.

Have had the oscars since they were about 1.5 inches and could hardly be seen in the tank lol. they dont seem to be growing any more now tho, which make me wonder if im overstocked?

thanks again

Awsome setup mate, makes me want to keep mine and change to black sand ect!
