My Rift Lake Setup

this is in no way a put down of your tank but i think the lighting and photography of the tank is the best thing about it. i mean the way it's lit and the way your pics are taken is outstanding. the rock arrangement is superb and, well, the fish do what they do don't they.

"sorry about the dirty tank"

sir i have half a mind to slap you :p

massively envious here

i keep showing this to my girlfriend and have shyed away from posting on here as what i'd say would already have been said but jeeeez

Shame we never got to see the planted sump to reduce nitrates etc.. What a tank.

My house mate who keeps africans thinks it is stunning (as do i!) and is wondering what type it is so we can try and track one down for him.

Hi, I haven't seen babysealclubber post anything in a while, so just in case he doesn't check regularly I thought I might chair this one.

The fish is called Pseudotropheus sp. "Elongatus Chewere", its on the more aggressive side of mbuna cichlids. I've only seen it available once in a shop here in Ireland and I was kicking myself that I didn't pick some up. But I'm sure that if you have an African cichlid stockist in your area that it would be possible for them to order some. Its worth a shot an its a fantastic looking fish!

Word of warning, Just be careful if you do get your hands on this fish, that you dont have similar looking male Pseudotropheus elongatus in your tank as this will lead to an aggression problem.
