My Poorly Goldfish

Hiya people,

My goldfish called Biscuits is poorly he sat on the gravel jus looking at me!!! i've checked him over and apart from a slight swelling behind his gill cover he is ok, i checked water parametres they were out of wack from usual nitrite 0,25 and nitrate nearly 100mg/litre. I've done my usual water change approx 30 litres as usual. If recently lost 5 goldfish from mystry illness, it starts as a lump and gets bigger until it errupts it then heals, just when you think your fish is making a speedy recovery BANG you find it upside down Dead as a door nail!!!!

Nitrate and nitrite is back to normal now. im feeding frozen mosiquto lavae if that has anything to do with it.

Sounds like there could be some king of parasite like Gill Flukes etc. Can you have a closer look to see if you can spot any unordinary shapes etc.

Does the fish seem laboured, fast breathing, glazed eyes, disorientation or hightened colour?

Nope he died yesterday i'm gutted i only have 5 goldies left. they are fancy goldfish however they all go the same way!!! I'm sooo baffled

There must be a problem in the tank, most likely water conditions, have you tested the water?
