i had her in a tank by herself,

i know she looked pretty full, like full of eggs

but... now it looks as though the place where the eggs would have been has burst, and now it looks like clear jelly is surrounding the wound, i don't know if this is from the fish herself or bacteria, anyways, am treating her with myaxzin anti-bacterial

is this ok and anyone had this problem before

thanks

paul

I thought you'd just put her in with the male?? Or is this a dif female?

this is a dif female bronze, sorry for the confusion :hyper:

you got a diagnosis or not m8?

thanks

Sorry i dont :( This may be worth putting in the emergencies section on the main board? I suppose, and its only a thought, they can release eggs themselves and hav a mucus plug which comes out first. Like i said just a thought, someone like Modaz may have a better idea.

I didn't, i'm crap at sexing fish  We bought 9 females and 3 ended up as males  We still have 1 with a question mark against her.

We conirmed one of them by putting him in a floating 2lt coke bottle in the female tank and overnight he built a huge nest

ive had a couple of females do this, they gte fatter and fatter and just.. burst! they have always made a full recovery with clean water and rich, but small amounts of food
