My Poor Cory

well i have 2 peppered cories in my 10 gallon tank along with a betta and a coupel of guppies and some guppy fry, and i have a pot in the tank and it's a good thing i checked in on the tank before i went to bed because 1 of my cories wedged itself in teh hole at the bottom of the pot so i had to pull teh pot up to the top of the water and pull him out, luckily none of his fins made it as far as his head did and all i had to do was push his head back through the way to came out, but in doing so he cut himself open from thrashing and is bleeding

i hope he makes it, i've had the 2 of them since they were small and they have to be near full size now

Awww poor little cory!

As long as he isnt bleeding too badly he should be ok, fish heal very quickly. Just watch out that the other fish dont think he is dead/dying and start eating it!

Just keep an eye on things and make sure the water is clean so the wound doesnt get infected.

You may also want to smash te bottom of the pot so that there is no longer a LITTLE hole Then there wont be a repeat of this. Good luck with your cory - I hope he pulls through

still alive i wasn't sure if he would be considering before i went to bed it seemed like he couldn't stay at the bottom of the tank but i checked on him/her this morning and he/she was sitting on the bottom in the corner not moving but i put my finger on the glass and he/she took off where the 2 cories hide

i took the pot right out cause when i inspected it there was a bunch of snail nests in it

fins are still pretty red and i just noticed half his top fin is missing

I don't know how these guys survive in the wild...they are bigger threat to themselves than the predators.

My corys did same thing. They (2 of them) got stuck in the same rockwork and one of them died. If I hadn't rescue the other one, he would have died as well. Hopefully, your cory will make it.
