I am wondering if my platys are doing anything strange, first they seem to keep nibbling on all the tank decorations, but I do not see anything there, no left over food no algee, am I not feeding them enough are the hungry? I feed them twice a day. I do not think next thing is a probelm, it seems that my sunburst mickeymouse is the king of the tank (I think I read somewhere its called Alpha Male) He will chase after the females and the males. He does seem to get very aggressive at times and nips at the other platys, he leaves the guppys alone, I have not seen him hurt anyone yet but sometimes he really goes after them. I wanna yell at him to stop it but I know he will not listen LOL. He does not do it all the time. Is everything ok as long as he does not hurt anyone or should I maybe put him in the breeding net for a day or so maybe that will cool him down.

Give the fish plenty of places to hide to stop chasing. Try to keep a 2.5:1 ratio of females to males with the Platies.

Platies in nature eat and mate. They wouldn't get all their food in one sitting normally in nature, so nibbling around might just be them foraging. You may not see algae, but there may be slight buildup on decorations and rocks.

There isn't anything too strange about what you described. Keep an eye out and let us know if anything else comes up.
