My Platy fry

I'm pretty sure the batch of guppy fry I'm rearing now have two fathers. I'm 80% the female was virgin, a blonde female, only exposed to a yellow snakeskin male, and a half black blue male. Half the fry are yellow, half are grey, starting to develop their black and some colour. I'm pretty convinced both males were the fathers here.
That could be true. Like I've already mentioned, the sperm packets used are random.

Well I did it. I went to the shop, turns out fish shops are essential so still open. He offered 50cent per fish. I'd 5 that were 3 months old & had sexed. €2.50 for 3 months of care... Jeeeebbbbuuuussss wept.

I swapped them for 1 Endler. And I bought another 7 male Endlers.

Now my 58L has 8 male Endlers all settling in nicely with about 9 fry as young as a few weeks old.

As the fry get their bits I'll trade again. I think this tank will become a male Endler tank, & maybe keep some male platy (2/3) of the silvery mix.

@vanalisa the Endlers are very fun

So tiny. I don't recall seeing them clumped with nano-fish...because they are live-bearers perhaps?

I'm not sure the criteria for nano. They're pretty small & but so active. That looks like small enough tank requirement but maybe it doesn't cover all nano tanks. I reckon they need a little space to swim about.

I do wonder if they could do well in a tank with Forktail blue-eyed Rainbowfish only because they all look like crazy mohawk buddies :drink:

@emeraldking thanks! The shop just had them all tagged as Endlers.

I've been waiting for this moment....
Can anyone else see these guys singing
"99 bottles of beer on the wall, 99 bottles of beer.....take one down..."
Once you see it, you can't unsee it....
