Hello everybody, just joined this forum but have been looking on here regularly at peoples tanks, some very interesting posts.

I've been into fish keeping now for about 4-5months and feel that i'm getting on nicely with it all.

At first I bought a 25L Mobdy Dick tank, which I soon got bored of and needed a bigger one.

So I thought I would post a couple of pictures that I have taken, the tank is still working progress,

Its a Planted Juwel Rekord 70,
I'm running a DIY CO2 system which since i've put in has made the plants grow brilliantly, its so easy i'd reccomend it to anybody.

The stocking is,

5Neon Tetra
3Zebra Danio
2Pristella Tetra
2 Algae shrimps
3 Striata/Zebra Loaches

Ok so here are some pictures taken from a real camera :D

I've finished arranging it for now, I bought the new bit of bogwood to cater for the zebra loaches to hide in.

Thanks for your time looking, comments and opinions welcomed :)

Thanks, Hope the new pictures are viewable now lol

what size is the tank, because zebra loches get big

The tank is 70L, The Zebra Loach Maximum size is 10cm's

IMO that will be too big for the tank, 120l is the minimum as they are active fish. take them back and get some dwarf chain loaches.

They don't seem active, they just hide all day long. Plus further reseach tells me they grow up to from 7-10cm and need a tank of around 20gallons/36", so mine is just short of that, they will be fine. If they outgrow it then I'll rehome them

typical attitude, why dont you buy a big tank before you get the fish not the other way round. !

... Typical attitude? I researched the loach before buying, i meant that if worse comes to worse then I will buy a bigger tank but I think they will be fine. I've read people on such forums as these keeping clown loaches in tanks my size if not smaller.

I don't want to set off on the wrong foot I was just saying I did the appropriate research etc. which is more than alot of people do.

thats away from the point, you should be taking action on your own tank, thats not someones elses fault. if they want to have big fish in a little tank then thats their problems, what you do not want to do is have to rehome. or even kill the fish as the tank is too small and they get too stresses. just next time, do some research.

They can get 4, but they usually don't get much more than 3". A 36 inch tank is sufficient for zebra loaches, they certainly aren't going to outgrow it. 36" is the normal recommended tank, sometimes as low as 24".

thats not what i read on this particular forum, wish i could find the link.
