Cool thanks!
Can you make out the background fish? I know one type is a Neon Tetra, what about the other, any ideas?

Buenos Aires Tetra - Hyphessobrycon anisitsi :good: .
Nice fish and great pics :) , but you do know that bala shark isn't really suitable for your tank? .

Im finding out alot of Fish "arent suitable for my tank" . . . Gonna have a crisis if im told anymore arent suitable!
WHY DO LFS's TELL YOU THESE FISH SUIT WHEN THEY DONT!
My priority is getting my Betta outa my big tank before my pair of Angels kill him!
The Bala's been in there for some time! Hasnt caused any problems as of yet! :good:

Im sure i'll get it sorted once i learn!
Cheers for the name!

Bala sharks get large, up to about 16 inches. It will take a while to get that big though, and if the tank isn't too overstocked it will be ok in a 55gallon.

They also need to be in shoals to feel safe, i would say 3 is the minimum. However they can be OK on their own sometimes if there are other fish of a similar temprement, but that tank is never going to be large enough and it's probably going to be difficult rehoming a large single bala shark.
I know how you feel though, I've been sold tonnes of unsuitable fish in the past, to this day I still have my sailfin plec (i plan on moving him to my 50gal with my other fish and rehoming him when he gets too big) and i have a featherfin syno in my 16gal.
They are both doing OK, but i get feeling my plec isn't growing as fast as he should, he should put on a growth spurt in my 50gal.
