...& i have teo Gouramis...

The others fine and dandy..

But the other, hides away and stuff...(not usual for this to happen, seing as hes the 'king of the castle' )

..I cant tell if hes been in a scrap or if it could be disseas..

..However, i did introduce my fiances kissing gourami, 2 colombian tetts and a fem' fighter fish to MY tank on thursday..

And i aint introduced new fish in about a year...

So, That is why im thinkin disseas or fighting...

*Tis the 1st problem iv ever had with my tank, except for the usual crap some1 gets when first starting..& thats been a good solid 1 year now :)*

..If you have any idea what it could be, It would be very much appretiated if you could share your wisdom, Thanx...!! =)

Hello friend. What size tank are we talking? It is possible that you may have added enough fish to put your tank in a mini-cycle, it may take a little while for the bacteria in your tank to increase enough to handle the new bio-load. If this is the case you may want to make more frequent water changes to keep the levels of ammonia and nitrite to a min. for the health of your tank.
Your king of the tank may well be the "royal in exile" as the kissing gouramis could now have tanke his place. He may have lost a very important battle and now is afraid to show himself without being bullied by the newly introduces kissing gourami. It is possible that even the female betta could be the attacker. Your observations at this point are important so that you can see who's causing trouble. Your thread title suggests that one of your pearl gourami has injuries - can you describe them a little better - he/she may need some help.
I hope this helps and if you can add information it may help others to help you. :D

..Well, I know my tank isnt cycling because iv only recently cleaned the gravel and all that stuff, and the tank was heavily cycling then.. *Plus i test the water regularly*

But, with the introduction of MORE fish, another cycle is probable...

Anyway, the kissing gourami is (Strangely) keepin himself to himself.. My angel fish (Like the kissing gourami) wonders allone around the tank..

& the angel fish is the aggresor out of all them...

allso, after carefull viewing, iv seen that this cancels out the kissing gourami...

I allso know for a fact that my F'Betta isnt the attacker..

Therefore, this is why i am puzzled..!! =/

Anywho, The injuries are -

A dark blue/black 'bruis' arounf the eye... (The eye itself is colourd allso)

And the right gill looks asif some scales have fallen or have been viciously taken off...

& allso the shyness/need to hide away...

-------

What puzzles me is that the other Pearl is fine...

(Ill go and size up the tank in a min, i fergot the size and i canr remember how to calculate it into gallons...(UK) )

Thanx for helpin me, Its very much appretiated...

Adding new fish can sometimes be a problem or create them, and what Jams.alaskan has written makes alot of sense [esp. the kisser ].

Keep an eye on things , test your water , do a partial water change , maybe a couple of small ones for a day or two . Until you get a handle on what's going on.You may even want to isolate the pearl .
