My Otos Are Not Eating My Algae Wafers

Hello. I fed my Otos a algae wafer last night because they had eaten all the horrible algae that has been all over my tank. They basically ignored it completely. In fact my 3 guppy's fed on it through the night. I fed it at night because I thought the other fish would be resting. It did not help that the wafer floated for around 3 minutes either! I was told by another member that it may take them a while to eat the algae wafers because they would be used to the algae. I saw one grazing on it this morning for only about a minute. Please comment on what you think as I picked a healthy bunch and I know if they do not eat there health will deteriorate. Thank you.

Keep trying -it takes time for them to realise that wafers and veg (cucumber, courgette) are food esp if they are only used to eating algae. My common plec took 3 weeks before it realised cucumbers were edible and only tasted it after all the other fish in the tank had nibbled it.

Thanks. I woke up this morning to find that the algae wafer was gone. The Otos must of ate it.
