Upgraded to a 60 litre tank.
I'll be moving 6 small platys to it tomorrow.
Once they've settled in, could I add anything else in that would leave peacefully with the platys & if so what would you recommend?
I like the look of cories, but I have gravel substrate, albeit small & non sharp.
Open to suggestions

you should be able to out cories straight in they are pretty calm fish and wont stress the platys

I already have a guppy tank, was looking for something different.
Not seen cherry barbs at my Lfs, but they are a possibility

Google s my friend.
I like the look of rasboras, but they need to be in numbers, could I fit 6 in?

You could add a group of cories, a group of rasboras or any number of other fish with platies. What is your water like? ph, hardness, etc.?

It is true that cories PREFER sand over gravel, but that's not to say that you can't have cories with gravel. I've read some very interesting articles on cories and their barbels, and to be honest, I believe that the gravel "wearing down" their barbels stuff is just nonsense. The barbels wear down and are affected by bacterial infections and other trouble as a result of improper maintenance and lack of water changes/gravel vaccing. As long as you are good about water changes and clean out your gravel very well, you can have cories with gravel.

Lots of options.
I'll transfer the platys tomorrow, let them settle down for a week or so then decide what to have with them.
I do like cores, so maybe I could change the substrate for them, will think about it.
Thank you for your input
