hi im new to this site but not new to fishes...i have always been wanting to keep rams but i know they aren't for beginners, but with 8 years of fishkeeping, i think im qualified to keep them...so anw after searching through lots of LFS over the course of few days, i finally got 2, one male balloon ram and 1 female ram...jus thought i would post their pics for all to see...i know some ppl might ot be too supportive of balloon rams but...they are the only nice rams i could find and the normal german blue rams or bolivian rams are all not in good conditions..

i apologise for the lousy quality pics as i am using the camera from my phone, which is 3.2 megapixels only as my camera has been taken away by my sister

pls comment and possibly gimme a tip or 2 on taking care of them...i have done my research on the internet using the power of google...but an extra piece of advice wouldn't hurt...thanks

very nice. i like the colors on the one there

looks like you have 2 males? i have 2 males and am going to switch the less colorful one out for a female

Never seen a balloon ram before. Didn't even know they existed heh.
It looks nice and healthy though.
And I just love the white one! Very pretty!

hi i have a bolivian rams
a thing i do to take care of them is to have 2 of the same kind
i do this because
it keeps them content
for awhile
and i feed them tetra tropical flakes
I had the same problem when i was doing reasearch
wat i did was write down all the important things
and then did all the other stuff later

They are lovely fish. I had six Ballon Rams awhile ago, and they've all died from HITH. Water quality was not an issue, so I'm thinking it was diet related as they would take only high protein food. Try to make sure they get food with VitC, and be vigilant with water changes.

How pointless, balloon rams...
Nevertheless they look nice, really colourful.

I dont know if i read this right but don't balloon rams have a shorter life span than the normal breed of blue ram? It looks like the first ram maybe a golden ram, or maybe its just young.
