Hahaha, your evil! :fun:

I have a Ball python that's approx. 6yrs old. Hi sname is Julius Squeezer!! He's very sweet. Ball pythons typically spent most of their time coiled up or in a ball ...hence the name... any who I like to give my sweet boy all the room he wants. He lives in a cage that's about 3 ft tall, 2 ft deep and about 2.5 ft wide (it's a rectangle but it stands up). He's got a shelf that he loves with a big piece of driftwood bolted onto the shelf (the shelf Comes out for easy cleaning), and on the bottom of the cage I keep his water bowl. Anywho even though they don't move very much it makes me feel better that he has the option to move about and do what ever he wants. But watch out for feeding time, they're quick!!!

can i ask how you have his basking area set up?

down the road when i have a little bit of spending money im going to get him a custom cage built or do it myself, im just putting the images through my head of how i'm goin to set up the lights and what not

What a beautiful animal! I love Ball Pythons (well, ok, pretty much all pythons); they have such mild temperaments and soft scales. There was a great one at the zoo named Sambuka; she used to climb out and wrap herself around your shoulders when you cleaned they exhibit. Good luck with your new critter ^^

As far as my set up goes, The light sits on top of the cage for now...The shelf divides the cage in half. The drift wood sits on the shelf so if he wants to lay out in the sun he can just chill on the drift wood but If he wants to chill in the shade he can go to the bottom of the cage next to his water bowl.

I used to work with snakes, I kept them also a few years ago, I had ball pythons, rat snakes, hognose, rainbow boas but I have to say my favourite was the red tailed boa.

A 30g tank is fine honestly, sakes dont like alot of space as it makes them nervouse, I would recomend a 40g tank as it will reach around 5-6 feet so a tank or viv at least 4 ft long will suit.

If you have any problems of questions feel free to ask, there are probably people out there that know more than I do but if I can help I will
