My New Umm...

Well here we go, just restate everything everyone said as its all true..

def a firemouth

OWC+NWC=baaaaaddddd :/

def either belly full of eggs or full of food

to help the peas be de-skinned, blanche them for 15 to 20 seconds in some water in the microwave, skins will fall right off

Something to add:
Feed the peas to your fm too. It is sure to love them and if fed maybe only once a week, will be gobbled up greedily as if it were a snack to it! My jd loves them and from what I hear, the same goes for most all nw cichlids

EDIT: Just remembered, you said at the beginning "Long Story" but if you care to explain Im sure everyone would love to read about it

well everyone is very helpful around here, thanks for all ur help.

There is just one thing that i would like to tell u all, never truly believe what ur LFS says unless u really trust them, well this is espesially true for me, they dont know anything here.

The reason i didnt tell the story is that I was a bit lazy at the time, anyway when I was bying some new fish the lady didnt really seem to know anything but I gave her a chance.
So I said 'i want those two'
'Those?'
'yes' i said
and went to the other part of the store to buy some fish food
when i returned the lady was already at the counter so i asked her if i could get a dark plastic bag to put everything in(the darkness seems to keep them a little more calm since its quite a long drive from the LFS).
so she popped everything in and thus i didnt see the fish
and off i went home.
when i got home i thought what the hell and phoned them.
"No refunds or trades!"
So i just kept them

What a crappy LFS. Well, now you know to check the bag first. I always prefer to watch them net my fish because I've had the same problem in the past.

me to, you will prob feel a bit silly to start with, but eventually you will be picking out indiviual fish for yourself from a tank of fish that all look the same to the untrainned eye.

I have even hand to take over getting the fish as the member of staff was unable to catch them, she didnt even know about the two nets system :)

and just a note about what ox5477 said about peas, dont you dare microwave them! they will lose a lot of vitamins and they tend to go very mushy in the tank.
just run the hot tap until u can only just hold your hand under it, or par-boil a kettle and blanch that way, its quicker and the peas tend to hold better when u squish 'em :)

Anyway, welcome aboard our forum :good: hope you enjoy the world of fish, and be warned you may only have one or two tanks now, but belive me you'll have huge tanks soon, I've been keeping fish for about 2-3yrs now, and ?I'm up to 9tanks, and one of them is 120gallon, :) it gets expensive and addictive

haha yes, the expensiveness is my only problem, ive been keeping for bout 8months now
