My New Turtle, Tokka...

thats a n awesome lookingn turtle. In the last pic his shell looks like it is carved from wood or something. Probly really good camo in the wild.

You wouldn't think they'd need camo: (hopefully) no animal is dim enough to go for something with a bite like an this little guy...
 
i put 6 little $.10 feeder fish in his aquarium last night...

this morning there were 3 swimming around, 1 missing, 1 w/o a head, and 1 w/o a tail....

i think i am going to stop putting fish in there, but maybe 1 every couple of days...

That's his trachea, his airway that he breathes through.

Many reptiles have seperate airways/food pipes unlike mammals who's airway and food pipe shares a common entrance.

Yep, camoflage isn't just for defence, its also used by predators to let them get close to their prey.

Think of tigers or polar bears.

I pity them. :lol: But he looks like he could give a nasty bite now, and he's tiny... I'd hate to be bitten by an adult. :-(
