Haha, what a great pic!! Is that an alligator snapping turtle? I've never seen them that small before ^_^
 
It's cute.... in a ferocious kind of way. :D But still cute. Did you catch him wild or buy him?
 
bought him from a guy that raises them, to be sold for turtle soup...

Whoah, he's lucky you got him before a deli or something did...

Sadly critically endangered in the wild (which is why they're farmed for food) and illegal to export.

It's very unlikely that you'll find one in Britain for sale but there are some smaller species of snapping turtle still available.

Wow that looks cool! I asked you in another post, but can you tell me here what your going to keep him in when hes an adult?
 
by the time he is too big for his 20 gallon, he can move into his own 55 gallon...

when he gets too big for it, by that time, i will be a middle aged man, making enough money to already have a humongous fish tank in my home, or live in the country and have a nice lake or pond... :)

otherwise, i will let him go at our ranch...

oh good cos i was gunna say i have seen them at Zoos and stuff and they get HUGE!!!!!!!!!
wouldnt want it to bite you when its bigger though :unsure:
