Believe me the multicoloured ones are all have. im going to the pet shop sunday to replace the plants with real ones again.

thanks for the compliment on the slate, i spent about 2 hours breaking and placing the slate, it turned out exactly how i wanted it. A corner piece to compliment the size of the tank and also to make an awesome hiding place for any fry i end up with.

The replacements for the multicoloured fake plants im considering adding more roman colums and backing them with some nice plants.

This is the upgrade took me time to get it as i liked it.

And more importantly its taken me time to get the high levels out the tank cos of the plants they did more damage than i though to the stats but all seems good now.

I wouldn't use the tangerine net, fish might get stuck in it. You can get clips with a suction cup on them from most LFSs or on ebay. They're called 'cucumber clips'.

Hi Keithbaxter

Well that tanks looking alot better, but I think that most of the plants you have now chosen are a high light dependent plant.

I'm not trying to put youre hopes down but, i've done the same myself and still do. You need some quick growing plants that don't need to much light, that is unless you've got the watts per galllon sorted (ask in planted section mate its a mine field) I'm still trying to get rid of alge due to having too much light and not enough fast growing plants to take up nutrients before the alge.

What you need to do is ask in the planted section.

One good tip is if the plant can't support itself out of water then its probley aquatic. If it can don't buy it unless u've reseached it before hand.

Thanks man.

I went to petsathome. The guy pointed those ones out as he has them in a few of the shop tanks and says they look nice and the fish dont seem to eat them much.

But ill look into it.

Thanks again man

That looks awesome but i see what you mean about the algae.
