as a few of you have given me advice which i appreciate, i thought id put a pic on for a start of what im doing
DSC00174.jpg

got an issue at the moment with it rocking about 3mm and appears to be from the left back leg,in the middle of the room it does not rock so think there is some raised concrete under the laminate so going to rip the floor up to have a closer look
ive had this tank for 5 years now and after a bit of spit and polish it come up nice
it was situated in the place it is now before but on the original cabinet but that was black and didnt go with the rest of the room funiture so nocked the new stand up tonight
so anyway here it is i will add more pics as and when i get to the next stage

Nice looking!

Since you sound like you made the stand yourself then you'll no doubt have your own way of getting it all nice and level. Still I'll mention that one way I've found to add height (or fill in length, depending on how you describe it on your short table leg) is to look in the hardware store for vinyl flooring or bottom wall edge products that have one side with sticky backing. A small piece of one of these products is cheap and will stay attached under part of a stand and provide leveling height. ..just one way of doing it though.

~~waterdrop~~

its definately the floor what is not level in this area so will have to get the hammer and bolster out when ive ripped the floor out, as i told the wife "trust me i know what im doing " lol

after it's cycled what fish are you going to start wth?
im just going with a typical community tank, "ozzy" my red tiger oscar is going to have his tank back to himself soon as he has had to share it (with a divider) with the remaining inhabitants of my old tank that decided to spring a leak

today added rocks, bubbles etc and when up to temperature added my lilly bulb (i think thats what it is its been a while since i bouught it) in the middle of the tank (its small at the mo)

after replacing half the filter with half the mature filter out of my other tank i decided to bite the bullet and put my trusty silver dollar in he has run in 4 tanks for me in the past and is 1 hardy old boy but onfortunately he wasnt in when i took the pic
next step is to plant it

hers a pic of him in his new hime

since my last post i have added my 2 remaining fish from my old tank the silver tip and my plec and they are doing really well and are full of life, decided to got to my LFS today for a look and gave in and bought 2 sunset platies (1 male 1 fenmale) and 3 blue platies (1 male 2 female) and that will be enough for now as the filter is still maturing, the only addition that will be made in the next few days is the malaysian trumpet snails i have ordered

wow its gourgous, and nice silver dollar. Cant wait for the next step
