Thought it was a good idea at the time especially for the loaches................

personally i'm not keen on ornaments, i'd rather stick to natural decor like rocks, wood and plants. however that ships better than a lot of the ornaments i've seen and with a bit of moss creeping over it would look fairly natural.


getting good pics of your fishtanks is definately a skill, there's a pinned topic in the members pics bit with some info to help. i'm rubbish at it too though, take a million pics and hope a couple will come out ok.

A few more pictures with more plants, driftwood and rocks added this afternoon...........by raising things a bit it hides the filter hoses etc........

good stuff, when the plants fill out some more you'll barely see the heater etc, those 3 neons must be lost in there!!

How do I clean the tank now......with all these plants, do I move them whilst vacuuming every fortnight??

Looking good mate, Id lose the ship if it was me, but it aint!!
You can get sucker clips to hold your ait line tight against the tank, you would hardly notice it then.

Is it me or does your spray bar look like its on the outside of the tank??!!

No just vac round them. The plants will "eat" anything left around them.........

Thank God for that..............was hard enough weighing them down with weights and into the pebbles.........

So just around them...........ummm must be careful then.........

yup, once the roots have grown in a bit in a couple of weeks it'll be relativley hard to dislodge them by accident so it's really just the first few weeks you need to be mega careful

We have a ship. Once they grow some algae on them they look cool as.

If I could have my tank different I would with just wood and plants, but our daughter chose the ship and my husband loves it. I'm more for the natural look.

hahaha the spray bar is in the tank..........about 2 inches from the top ot the water line.........

Must be cause my water is sooooo clean

Today I ordered some special moss which I will place on both sides of the ship and see how it look then.............otherwise.........ummmm (dont tell the wife) I might have to donate it to my son so he can have the ship in his bedroom...........
