This is my new 50 litre cold freshwater tank.
Currently has 8 Zebra Danios, still deciding what else and how many more to put in... A bottom to middle dweller with a bit of colour hopefully! If you have any ideas I'd be more than happy to hear them!

Looks great I like the layout. what about some live plants and some floating plants? A nice fancy pleco would look good in there :good:

Unfortunately I don't have a light so will have to stick to artificial plants for now!

Oh yeah didn't think of that thanks... was thinking about a couple of small goldfish, or a few black widow tetras, but will check out some plecos!!

I would avoid goldfish. they are NOT tropical fish and just overall a problem/ big poopers and wont be good in the long run.
Here's a list off the top of my head of nice bottom feeders/ dwellers
1) Common Pleco ( They grow big! )
2) Golden nugget pleco
3) Candy Stripe Pleco

I could list WAY more but you got the point.

Cool thanks!! I'm thinking of going with a Clown Pleco, since they don't need quite so much room as some of the others!!!

Also, I just went to a site I found... Think Fish, put in my aquarium specs (29x60x30) and proceeded to put in my 8 Zebra Danios, as well as 3 Golden Barbs and 1 Clown Plec, and it says I could still get another 10cm of stock in there.
Does this seem a bit excessive for a tank of my size?
I wouldn't mind having that lot in my tank but at the same time I don't want to kill them or have them stressed!!!

flattrack23, I'm pretty sure sozza is looking for fish to put in his/her COLDWATER tank, as they stated in their first sentence. So none of the fish you suggested would be suitable. The only pleco you could put in coldwater is a hilstream loach/pleco. They require fast moving and highly oxygenated water though.

As flattrack22 said, I would avoid goldfish as they will eventually get large enough to eat the danios and if I'm correct, 50 litres is around 20 gallons, right? So it would only be able to hold one or two goldfish (without the danios). Black widow (or skirted) tetras are tropical.

Golden barbs I believe can tolerate lower temperatures, don't quote me on this though. I do know they are schooling fish and will do better in a group of 5-6. Also, its not always such a good idea to go by what a website "calculator" says can go in your tank as most of the time they are not right, unfortunalty. Its also best to ask at a forum, like you are doing now.

Okay...Thats my bad about the cold TROPICAL fish tank. When she said danio's than i automatically though tropical and just tried to help her with tropical fish. She sort of had a mixed of cold and tropical readings.

Might be a small fish but clown pleco's have a BIG personality and like some room. Mine always lunges at my cories when they sit in 'his' cave. They are very territorial and need a variety of wood to chew on.

You could go for Bulldog Plecs have seen them housed in the Goldfish tanks in Maidenhead Aquatics and they do very well in them.

Other Fish:

White Mountain Clouds
Different Danios
Garra Pingi Pingi
Weather Loach
Hillstream Plecs
