So i should get rid of the green one, and add another blue course sponge? Is that what your saying??

My new sponges should arrive today, i will put all new ones in, should i change the water and start over again? As i have used the exsisting sponges already in there ???? :/

lol. Exactly. Remove the green sponge and replace with a coarse blue. Keep the other remaining ones that you already have in the tank

This is what i have now.....after changing them round a bit lol

Bottom basket = Gap, 1 fine blue sponge, 1 fine blue sponge
Top Basket      = Green Course sponge, Blue Course Sponge, Black sponge on top

I have yet to add any whites ones, but 1 goes on top right?

remove the green sponge while your tank is trying to cycle or you are just going to skew the cycle process and it's going to take longer.

Ok i will take out the green one, but at the moment i dont have another blue one to replace it...will the filter be ok running with what i have in there, till my new sponges arrive??

So i NEVER need a green one again?

Just remove the green one. It will be fine until you add the other blue sponge later.
Nope, you NEVER need the green one. Unless you plan to grossly overstock your tank and not do regular water changes.

By Jove, i think she's got it!

The gap should be on top of the 2 fine blues though, so that the 2nd basket starts right on top of the gap.

what the others are saying is that you could do away with the green nitrate sponge and put a 2nd coarse blue in.

And yes the white ones go on the very top.

Right as of now.... I have taken the GREEN sponge out lol !!

So i have

Bottom basket, gap, then 2 fine blue sponges
Top basket, gap, 1 course blue, 1 course black..... (awaiting 1 more blue and 1 white) lmao!!!!!! omg

Sorry about this guys...hehe

Right so i need to do it again lol.....

2 fine sponges, then a gap in bottom basket?
then 2 blue course, 1 black, and 1 white on top?? Hurrrrrrrrayyyyyyyy lmao !!

Can i just ask..... :S Do i always need the black on in there too??

so when my new sponges arrive today, i will put ALL new in, and have 2 fine sponges at bottom, gap, then 2 blue course sponges, 1 black, 1 white...hey presto....it will be done !!

What about, do you think i should start over again with new water once my new sponges are in? The exsisting sponges i am using might have contaminated my water? What do you think????
