Hi all, I wanted to share this with you as I am quite excited. I thought to myself that whilst waiting until I can afford the 5x2x2 that I want, I should collect everything else first so that im more or less ready to go (except cycling) So I have been looking on second hand sites and found this, which is proudly sitting in my living room as we speak.
It had been running up until I collected it and we put the sponges from the filter into the bottom of the tank (water level being just over the sponges. The only thing I changed is the substrate from gravel to sand and I used real plants instead of the plastic ones that came with the tank. The tank which will eventually be used for a quarantine/hospital tank is a 120l jewel.
Stock that came with this tank.
2x BN plecs small.
6 Bronze Cory's (babies)
3 Blue Gourami (again babies)
Not bad for £50.
Lady had bought the tank for her youngster and didn't want to look after it anymore.

Nice find mate, and good idea about the Quarantine tank
I have seen a nice 5x2x2 in lfs It has two externals and two heaters with it as well as lovely cabinet for £600. So I am now pleading with the missus to let me have it, but so far she won't budge on our original plan of saving for it.
