Hi all,

I've just set this tank up and it's still cycling. I'm looking forward to getting some fish!!!!

Cheers IMGP0656.JPG

Thanks guys. It's my first attempt at a proper planted tank albeit low tech with hard to kill plants. I'm looking at two largish shoals of tetras, some cory's, trio of apisto and a small plec. I keep changing my mind every time I see some different fish!

After eventually getting the tanks cycled (twice), I added some fish. As I wanted to stick with a South American theme, my first fish were diptail pencilfish and some cory similis. I've changed some of the plants as I struggled to grow some of the sp. I planted in the far left corner to hide the filter intake and temp. sensors.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings, take a look and let me know what you think!

Rummy nosed tetras. There are six and I'm going to add some more but after vacumming the sand yesterday they've taken the hump with me again and hid and lost some of their 'rummyness'. Hopefully they'll settle down and get used to me.

One of many shrimp in the tank (not S. American I know!)

...and finally a full tank shot.
