My New Rainbow Gourami

He died this weekend after 10 days in the tank. All of a sudden, propper gutted

I'm sorry to hear that. I just got a Powder Blue Dwarf & I'm hoping for the best for him too. Any idea what killed him?

but mine is extremely aggressive for some reason...

Male gouramis can be pretty aggressive. Especially to each other. Even the Dwarfs. Most single male Dwarfs are fine in a community of small fish, but some aren't.

I have kept honey gouramis in the past, and my male was overly aggressive. It probably didn't help he was massive, but any time my other smaller gourami tried to swim in the water column he would charge it..


OP sorry to hear about your loss, its never fun to find a fish you like dead.
