My New Pink Betta

Just kidding. He is very pretty!

I think my boyfriend, heart gemstone earrings colored for my birth date, and affinity for cats stole my mancard a long time ago

When full grown their bodies are 2-3 inches if I understand correctly. So it may be that he has some growing to do yet!

has anyone else seen/owned a betta this pink before? Do you think it's the "true" color or maybe is it just a washed out red betta that needs a better diet? It seems pretty legit to me. Especially with the light blue sheen it has to it, and it has a pretty full shiney color rather than the milky gloss that washed out fish seem to have (not to mention he has a really red head, I would think the head would be washed out too if this were the case). Just seems kinda strange, I can't even find any pictures on google of a betta this freaking pink

He seems to have more of a delta tail than half moon. Thoughts?

mmm no i dont think he's washed out - my betta got a richer colour over the course of about a week after I got him. His colour didn't really change just got more rich so he may turn a darker shade of pink I dunno. I also vote for HMPK on the tail shape

I've seen a hot pink VT betta before at pets and home Unfortunately missed out as when i came back in 3 days to buy it he had already been bought.

I have a slightly pink female, her body is quite pink and fins have blue rays. She's the only one i've seen tho
